Airsafe (www.airsafe.com) – Data on fatal accidents organized by airline, country, and year. Created and managed by aviation safety expert Todd Curtis, a former airline safety analyst with Boeing, and the author of Understanding Aviation Safety Data.
Aviation Safety Net (www.aviation-safety.net) – Tracks major airline accidents and serious incidents. Produced by Aviation Safety Network, part of the respected Flight Safety Foundation.
European Union Transport (www.ec.europa.cu/transport/air-ban) – The European Union’s list of banned or restricted airlines is updated several times a year.
The FAA (www.faa.gov/safety/programs_initiatives/oversight/iasa) – The FAA’s International Aviation Safety Assessment grades countries as Category 1 if they meet the standards of the UN’s International Civil Aviation Organization or as Category 2 if they don’t meet those standards.
