From the Age of Exploration ($125)

Long before GPS, terrestrial globes helped us appreciate what lay over the horizon.

Some of the most famous globes were produced in the Age of Exploration (16th to 18th centuries). And today, we're fortunate to have exact reproductions from three of the best-known cartographers of their day.

Select from:

* The Mercator (1541) – By Flemish mapmaker G. Mercator.
* The Hondius (1627) – By Dutch mapmaker Jodocus Hondius.
* The Vaugondy (1745) – By French mapmakers Robert and Didier de Vaugondy.

Each globe comes with a polished wood stand, and has been reproduced in extraordinary detail and accuracy by a leading manufacturer of antique globes.

Measures: Each stands 23.25" tall and has a 12.5" circumference.
